Welcome to Page 3 on the topic of Addictions it is obvious that you are asking for help. You have begun a journey that JESUS will walk with you.  HE will not turn back, and HE will not let it be so hard that you will fail!  JESUS will be your strength.  

 


"But remember that the temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience. And GOD is faithful. HE will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can't stand up against it. When you are tempted, HE will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it."
1 Corinthians 10:13

 


  We will use that Scripture as a pattern for your release from addiction.  Please print it or write it down or, better yet, memorize it!
 
Addiction comes in many forms.  On these Pages we will focus on addiction in general.

 

Truth B - Addiction is a spiritual problem.


 
The reason many get free only to return again to an addiction lifestyle is that the root problem in their life causing their addiction has not been dealt with.  

Regardless of what others have told you, life without a personal relationship with GOD is a life full of hopelessness, sufferings, without personal freedom and a haven for addictions.  As you continue on your journey through these Pages you will see that salvation comes through personal faith in JESUS CHRIST only!  

If this offends you, then quit reading this Article and try a multitude of other ways, walk other Paths until you discover that they are powerless to set you free.  Then come back and start over again, with JESUS as the LORD of your life.  JESUS will set you free once for all from your sin, grant you eternal life in HIS Name and bring deliverance from all your addictions.

A partial list of the reasons you find yourself living in  addictions. 

 

    Pain from loss
    Anger toward God
    Anger toward another person
    Fear
    Unforgiveness
    Victimization


A short illustration:  

Anyone who has planted a garden knows that the desired plants require much care.  On the other hand weeds come along just fine by themselves.  In fact a garden not tended to will become a weed garden in a short time.  

This describes a relationship with the LORD perfectly.  A once a week, month, year visit to your local Church will only see to it that weeds will overcome you.  To live in freedom from addictions, a daily relationship with the LORD is a necessity and a 'JOY' in the life of HIS Followers.

Two ways to remove weeds - 

  1. Cut them off at ground level so they are invisible (they ALWAYS come back!) 

  2.  Or pull them out by the root (they NEVER come back!). 

On the subject of addictions, you have to get to the root of the addictions to live a free life, otherwise you will keep going back to be their slave.

By your continued reading of this Article, if is properly assumed that permanent freedom is your desire.  It is up to  you to put forth the effort in your life to follow the ways and means the LORD provides you.  It is not enough to cry; "LORD, set me free forever!"  And at the same time want to live your life according to your own way.

You way has not worked for you so far, and it is not going to get any better in the near or far future!  By now, it is assumed that you have already memorized -
1 Corinthians 10:13 and that you are considering it's meaning in your life every day.
